Who are we?
We are UJI Motorsport, a team made up of students from Jaume I University, in Castellón. As a team, we have come together to create a car from scratch following the bases and rules of the international Formula Student competition.
This year, we are immersed in the creation of our fourth car, to be able to go to national and international competitions.
The team is made up of students from all careers: mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, videogames, design, robotics, communication, journalism, translation… Thanks to this, we can cover all work areas and facilitate team coordination by organizing ourselves by departments… These departments are Chassis, Aerodynamics, Dynamics, Engine, Electronics, and Communication.
UJI Motorsport seeks that all members have a common goal through technological innovation and effort. We also work as a team, managing time and communicating. All this and more while you are part of a unique and unrepeatable experience.
HOW DID UJI MOTORSPORT EMERGED?
UJI Motorsport emerged at the end of 2015 thanks to the initiative of several students of Mechanical Engineering of the Universitat Jaume I (UJI). After years of following the competition, decided to propose the project to the directors of their respective faculty, and thus, to form a team that participated in the competition representing the University of Castellón.
During the first three years of life, the team has not stopped growing. After attending the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya in our first season, in the second season, we managed to qualify for a European event, specifically at the Euro-Ring circuit in Hungary and we also returned to the championship at the Circuit de Barcelona.
In this third year of competition, the team managed to qualify for the championship in the legendary circuit of Assen and again, in the Circuit de Barcelona test.
Beyond the competitions, the team has been gradually making its way as an innovation project both in the university community and in the province of Castellón.
